a family session
As a photographer, I meet a variety of people. In this July session, I was invited to spend a few hours with this family. I photographed them in the comforts of home because the property was truly breath-taking. On top of all of that, even though there was a beautiful natural light that ignited the frames, the family vibe was the true light in the day for me.
Many photos in this piece tell a story about the bonds between family members.
From grandparents sitting out on the porch together, laughing and sharing in life. To all the men and women in the family grouping together to share the generations between them.
I was told that the brother was visiting from out of town with his kids. You would never know that he lived far away because the closeness between him, his sister, and their parents was apparent. The time spent together was amazing to watch. A brother, a sister, and their respective families shared memories that day.

I had the great privilege of photographing this amazing family. Speaking of specifics, laughing with the well behaved, funny children made my job easy. Watching the parents love on their babies proved great appreciation for life and one another. Lastly, chatting with the beautiful grandparents taught me a great deal about the love in families.
In the comforts of home, this family shared moments in time laughing, smiling, and posing their way into memories that will last forever.
